Located within the Sekenke region, Singida’s rock gold deposits are among the oldest and richest in East Africa, with mining activities tracing back to Tanzania’s earliest mining history. Sekenke’s gold mining history dates back to the early 20th century, making it one of Tanzania’s oldest and most established mining areas.
